Colorolicious

Colorolicious is pioneering a new category of food colourant technology using structural colouration from self-assembled, sugar-based liquid crystals. Our pigment-free platform delivers vibrant and stable colours that respond to touch and stretch, creating interactive, sensory-rich experiences for confectioneries, supplements, and beyond. Developed as a University of Manchester spin-out, Colorolicious is advancing scalable, food-safe formulations to replace synthetic dyes and unstable and unsustainable natural pigments in candies, meeting the growing demand for safer, sustainable, and engaging ingredients in global food systems.
