Aelius Biotech is a Contract Research Organisation specialised in mucus-enabled digestion, absorption and microbiome in vitro modelling and small-scale human trials. Founded as a spin-out from Newcastle University, Aelius have developed the MuCo Absorb model, the first and only in vitro model combining digestion, mucus permeation and epithelial absorption in a single system. Data and custom projects from Aelius supports teams across R&D, NPD and even marketing to take orally-delivered products from lab to life.
