As VP Health & Sustainable Diets, Imke van Gasselt is responsible for our defining Ahold Delhaize’s global health ambitions and building an engaged and active culture around health, healthy and sustainable diets. Imke began her career at Jacobs Douwe Egberts - a Dutch-based coffee and tea company - where she held several Marketing & Category Manager roles. After expanding her knowledge on sustainable supply chains working for UTZ certified she joined Albert Heijn in 2011, where she continued to work in branding and marketing leading the integration of healthy living and sustainability into AH’s business strategy. Later she took on the role of Director Sustainable Retailing Partnerships where she was responsible for growing the NL2025 organization – an external forum focused on promoting education, sustainable growth, and vital communities across the Netherlands. In 2019 she joined Ahold Delhaize Group (GSO) as Director Health followed by the role of Director Global H&S Expertise Center in which she successfully led the Ahold Delhaize H&S expertise center driving expertise and innovation on climate change, food waste, and health across Ahold Delhaize. In September of last year, she was appointed ad VP Health & Sustainable Diets. Imke holds a master’s degree in Law from Utrecht University.
