Benoit Goldschmidt

Benoît Goldschmidt is Scientific Open Innovation Director at Bel, where he leads Science & Technology Intelligence, Knowledge Management, and Technology Scouting activities. A food engineer trained at AgroParisTech, he has spent more than 30 years with Bel, building deep expertise in food structure, sensory science, oral processing, and innovation, while supervising multiple PhD programs and collaborative research initiatives. After leading Bel’s Food Structure & Sensory laboratory for 25 years, he transitioned to Open Innovation to strengthen connections between Bel and the wider food innovation ecosystem. Benoît serves on several scientific and industry boards, including the European Next Food Collective. He is passionate about leveraging science, collaboration, and innovation to accelerate the transition toward healthier and more sustainable food systems.
